Not Without My Whale
Arnold is having a really bad morning. He’s starting school, and he refuses to go: “Not without my whale!” he cries.
Everyone says whales are too noisy, too wet, too smelly, and way too big. But Arnold doesn’t care. He’s just not going without his best friend.
Thanks to clever Dora and a bit of creativity, Arnold and his whale go to school anyway, and surprise everyone!
In assembly, the whale helps everyone sing. In maths, the whale makes bubbles to count in the playground. At football, the whale’s giant tail scores 37 goals!
Arnold, once shy and quiet, starts making friends and having fun. At lunch, kids feed the whale fish from a bucket, and Arnold begins to chat and laugh.
By the end of the day, even when they all get in trouble, Arnold smiles and says:
“I think we can manage.” Because now, he knows he’s not alone. He has his whale... and new friends too.
