The Harvest
On the last warm day of summer, little Irene visits the farmer’s market with her mom. She’s especially fascinated by a pod of peas counting, squishing, and playing. As her mom explains how fruits and vegetables are saved for winter, Irene’s curiosity blooms. Inspired by the idea of growing something herself, she plants her own peas at home.
